Threshold Trail Series and RUNSOCIAL are joining forces to host this year's Race to the King Route Recce - your chance to lay your eyes on the Race to the King course, four weeks ahead of race day in June.

We'll be running a 20km circuit, around half of which is on the official Race to the King Coastal Loop course. This is a flat course visiting the stunning Chichester Harbour AONB.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get there from London?

If you are travelling by train from London, please aim to catch the 9:28 service from London Victoria to Chichester. The train also departs Clapham Junction at 9:42 and East Croydon at 9:53. A member of the Threshold Team will meet you at Chichester station, which is a short walk to Harris & Hoole.

Travelling from elsewhere.

Please be at Harris & Hoole for 11:30.

How far will we be running?

The route is 20km, around half of which is on the official Race to the King Coastal Loop. It is designed to give you a clear idea of what to expect on race day.

What should I bring?

The route can be hot and exposed - please bring adequate water and nutrition, as well as clothing to keep you safe in the sun. In the event of poor weather, please dress accordingly.

Will there be a pitstop?

There will be a pitstop around halfway through the run with water, nutrition, etc.

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes, you can leave a small bag at Harris & Hoole. Please do not bring a large bag.

How fast will we be running?

There will be multiple groups on the day, with run leaders and paces to match all abilities. Please note - even the fastest group will not be running faster than 6:00/km pace. This is a social run, not a race.
