*We are bringing back a fan favorite medal! This time it's a homemade medal made of beautiful acrylic with the design sublimated onto it.
On January 26, 2020 the world lost one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Kobe Bryant, and his beautiful daughter, Gianna. Our love and prayers go out to the family members of everyone that was lost. Kobe was definitely a girl dad and loved his daughters so much. On the court he was a true legend and to his family he was an amazing father. To honor Kobe and Gianna, we are hosting a Race for the Greatest and invite you all to dedicate a run or walk to their memory. You can choose to do 2 Miles (Gianna’s number), an 8K (which is 4.97 miles) or a 24K (which is 14.91 miles). We are devastated by their deaths and hope to bring honor to them by doing what we do best: running and walking and raising money for a great cause. The medal also includes seven hearts to honor Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan, the other passengers, and pilot, that lost their lives and whose families are also grieving at this time.

- We’ll be donating at 15% of each registration fee to After School All-Stars. Bryant was an honorary ambassador of After-School All-Stars, a non-profit organization that partners with schools nationwide to extend school hours for low-income children.

Cost: The price is $20 and that includes your medal, bib and at least 15% of every entry will be donated to After School All-Stars. *We are in no way affiliated with this charity, we like to choose a different charity for each of our races and are happy to raise funds for them.
What is a virtual race? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose.
