About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes

Workshop Details

R is a powerful programming language for performing essential tasks in statistical analysis such as data cleaning, modeling, and visualization. You will learn how to navigate through these key stages using R. The hands-on experience will build your confidence in running statistical tests (t-test, Chi-squared test, ANOVA) and creating statistical models like regression. This workshop will walk you through the process of understanding your data, checking the assumptions, applying appropriate tests or models, and interpreting the output, which can be transferred as you work with more complicated models. The workshop focuses on the practice and application of statistical models rather than statistical concepts and theory.

Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with R and familiarity with basic statistics (hypotheses tests and confidence intervals, linear regression).

Event Details

All Research Code Academy workshops are held in person; there is no hybrid option or recording available. These are interactive, hands-on workshops; participants are required to bring their laptop and charger.

All workshops include coffee and light breakfast pastries in the morning. Lunch breaks will be provided; participants are responsible for their own lunch.
