YJR Outdoors Guided Youth Ride: Lorimer Park + Pennypack Rail Trail
YJR Guided Youth Ride: Lorimer Park + Pennypack Rail Trail
Join YJR Outdoors for a guided youth ride starting from Lorimer Park and heading out along the Pennypack Rail Trail. This ride is designed for young riders who are ready for a longer adventure and want to build confidence, endurance, trail awareness, and group riding skills in a fun, supported setting.
We’ll ride up to 10 miles round trip, exploring key points along the corridor including Lorimer Park, the Rockledge trailhead, scenic stretches along Pennypack Creek, and the area near Camp Melmar as we head upstream toward the Welsh Road trailhead. Along the way, riders will experience a mix of paved trail, natural scenery, and the bigger-picture feeling of traveling by bike through connected park and trail spaces.
Bathrooms and water are available at Lorimer Park.
For groups looking for a little more adventure, we may incorporate some of Lorimer Park’s gravel and dirt trails on the return portion of the ride, depending on rider readiness, time, and conditions.
This ride is staffed by 2 adults and emphasizes safety, encouragement, and positive youth riding experiences.
