About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

This nonbinary-led class is meant for all trans, intersex, and gender nonconforming folks. QTBIPOC community members to the front!

According to Patanjali, a yoga archivist who gathered the Yoga Sutras thousands of years ago, yoga is about the mind. Returning to this ancient philosophy, the Resilience Flow series uses sacred technologies to witness, release, and detoxify our body, mind, and spirit. Decolonized yoga is a practice of being present with the cycles of life and what is. In Resilience Flow we acknowledge: there is no grief without love; there is no creativity without the fear of change; there is no life without stress and we can create balance by teaching our bodies how to arrive back to peace, rest, and calm.

1st class - Moving from Grief to Love (5/14/2024)

2nd class - Moving from Fear to Creativity (6/11/2024)

3rd class - Moving from Stress to Balance (7/9/2024)

Sola Habibi is a non-binary, neurodivergent, multi-heritage queer offering healing spaces through yoga, community, art, and nature. They have been practicing yoga for 13 years and in 2023 received their 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Certification at Oceanic Yoga in Goa, India. Sola believes that on the other side of our pain, suffering, and grief there is room for joy, pleasure, self-acceptance, love, and liberation. They create an inclusive space for BIPOC, queer, trans, and gender non-conforming folks to find community while processing life’s hard emotions. Classes include discussion, movement, meditation, breath work, and chanting.
