Hi! My name is Sarah. My pronouns are they/them. I've been practicing yoga and meditation regularly since 2019 and completed my year-long Community Practice Leader Training with Tony at Indy Community Yoga in May 2022. I also have over two decades of experience as an educator in public schools. I enjoy practicing with other people in nature.

Come as you are. Wear comfy clothes. Your experiences and body are both just right. Every Body Welcome!

Yoga 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.: Fun, challenging, and feel-good movement and breathing. A few mats are available for you to borrow, but please bring your own if you have one.

Meditation 11:00 - 11:25 a.m.: Our meditation practice is quiet, continually returning to ease in the body and ease in the breathing. There is nothing to achieve or attain. You are welcome to practice your Way as long as you help maintain a quiet practice space for the group. It's ok to sit. It's ok to lay down.

Mindful Dialogue, Active Listening, Sharing and Discussion 11:30 a.m. - noon: We’ll practice either a paired or full group mindful listening and speaking exercise. Both are great practices that will improve every relationship in your life that involves communication. After our practice, we'll have time for sharing. Share any questions and reflections and hear what others have to share. It's ok to just listen, too.

Safety

If you have any symptoms of contagious illness (e.g. coughing, fever, runny nose, body aches, malaise, etc.), please stay home and recover. Thank you for caring for your health and the well-being of people attending practice.

Directions

Practice is at the 100 Acres: Virginia Fairbanks Art & Nature Park from May - October. Our practice location is under the trees near Stratum Pier across from Funky Bones. Map below.

Car: Please carpool if possible. There are only 40 parking spots in the 100 Acres Parking Lot at the bottom of the White River Parkway East exit off of 38th St just west of Newfields. Walk into the park. Take your time. The walk is about 10 minutes to our spot. Life's too short to be in a hurry. Turn left at the lagoon. We're on the right at Funky Bones and the pollinator garden. Link to our spot.

Overflow parking with easy access to the canal towpath is at the Indiana Interchurch Center at 42nd and Michigan. Take your time. The walk is about 20 minutes to our spot. Life's too short to be in a hurry. Walk down to Michigan, turn right, and cross the bridge over the canal. Walk down to the towpath and turn right to walk under the bridge and towards the 100 Acres. Take the canal towpath to the red bridge at Newfields (usually has a locked gate). Turn away from the canal and into the 100 Acres and turn left when you get to the lagoon. We're on the right at Funky Bones and the pollinator garden. Link to our spot.
