The theme for this year's Queer Prom is Enchanted Forest Masquerade Ball, so get ready to dance the night away in this magic-filled event!

Our event has been organized and made possible by several groups, including the Gender and Sexuality Alliance from Samohi, the Church in Ocean Park, the City of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Travel and Tourism, and Santa MoniCares.

All COVID Protocols will be followed appropriately for this event. This means, among other things, that all attendees must RSVP in advance and wear masks. Additionally, all attendees must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test result- we are planning to offer tests on site if need be, but please bring your proof in advance if at all possible. If anything changes, we will let you know!

To avoid creating any sort of economic barrier, we have made this event free to attend- however, we STRONGLY encourage that you add a donation when you reserve your tickets! The suggested donation is $3/person, though we would certainly be grateful if you could give more, and we will not be resentful if you can't do it.

As this is a prom, we would encourage everyone to dress up as much as you like, and we really encourage everyone to get into the theme with masquerade masks and any other costume pieces (ie, horns, fun makeup) that you like! While there is no strict dress code- you certainly won't be turned away for dressing casually- let's all have some fun with it!

As far as age-range goes, technically speaking, we don't have a strict one. This is aimed towards young people- high school students and young adults- and will be treated as an under 21 event (no alcohol) but is open to people of all ages, especially those who may not have been able to enjoy their own prom as their authentic selves. That said, we must insist upon appropriate behavior from all guests at all times, especially with our underage attendees. Failure to respect this will result in you needing to leave the premises.
