Come and take a walk with us at Forest Road 19 while looking for PNW flora and fauna!


What: Queer Nature Quest: Hike at Forest Road 19

Who: All Are Welcome. Please register for each individual who is planning to come and remember to sign the event waiver.

When: 6/9/2024 10:00am-12:00pm

Where: Forest Road 19 - See Direction to Trailhead Below

Why: To come together in community and access nature.


We will gather in the parking lot (see pin for location and directions: https://maps.app.goo.gl/C61YJJp6f5UwF1366) at 10:00am for a short meet and greet before beginning a walk along Forest Road 19 This 2 mile trail is dirt with under 100 feet of elevation gain. There will be snacks and goodies available at the end of our walk for anyone wanting to stick around for a few minutes.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

  • Please sign the event waiver when registering.
  • We are affirming of all identities. We welcome individuals and aim to cultivate an inclusive community.
  • We hike at the pace of the slowest walker. We encourage open communication about your needs and abilities before, during and after this event to increase accessibility. We will walk regardless of the weather so be prepared by wearing layers and dressing to be outside for up to two hours.
  • Directions: From Highway 26 - Turn left onto E. Arlie Mitchell Road and then left again onto Forest Road 19. There will be several parking spots along the side of the road about .5 miles in. If you need further directions, please refer to Castle Canyon Trailhead as it departs from the meeting area.
