Eid-Al-Fitr is a 3 day Islamic holiday celebration at the end of month of Ramadan, where Muslims fast during the hours of daylight.

Is this event for me?

This event is open to QTIBPOCs only (Queer, Trans, Intersex, Black and People of Colour), of all faiths and backgrounds. You don't need to be Muslim to join us, but you do need to identify as QTIBPOC.

Is the space accesible?

The space is situated on the ground floor, with ground floor toilets. There is a space upstairs that can be used as a quiet room.

Will food cater for my dietary requirements?

There will be an assortment of dishes and we will try to cater for various dietary restrictions - we will provide vegetarian and GF options. If you have another allergy, please contribute to the pot luck.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

Please sign up in advance! Tickets are on a sliding scale depending on your circumstances, but sign up is needed to let us know how much food will be needed.

Join us for a relaxed evening of food, reflections and music!

In the traditions of Eid celebrations- dress to impress (whatever that means for you).

*This event is for people who identify as QTIBPOC (Queer, Trans, Intersex, Black and People of Colour), only.

Eid Mubarak!

6pm Yalla! Gather, drink chai & settle into the space as we enjoy a meal together.

Some catering will be provided, but we welcome potluck dishes that reflect your experience or understanding of Eid, or your culture's community celebrations.

8:30pm (ish) Readings & reflections. An opportunity to bring & share literature that resonates with you & our community, bridging queerness and faith. We'll digest, sip more chai & share some readings.
