About this event
Queensland’s Strongest Man & Woman 2024 will be held over 2 days at Steel & Stone Gym on August 10-11 2024.
We will see who the strongest Queenslander or Queenslander imposter on the day really is.

Day 1 Events:
Max Deadlift
Keg Press Medley (4 kegs)
5 Stone Run
Day 2 Events:
Farmers Combo 15m/15m Light down, heavy back
Tyre Flip (5 flips)

Lifting both days will commence at 10am, with your lifters briefings taking place at 9am.
Weigh ins will be held at Steel & Stone Gym on Friday 9th August from 10am to 12 noon. If you can not make it during this time, please contact us to organise another time.
Weights & Rules:
Max Deadlift
Before you ask, YES you can use a suit, YES you can use straps, but only figure 6’s.
- 3 attempts (powerlifting style) you have a 60 seconds to complete your rep from bar is loaded.
- You will be given 2 reasonable attempts at that weight
- Strapping in to be done in your 60 second timeframe.
- Next attempts are to be submitted within 60 seconds of your last attempt. If the athlete does not submit their attempt within the time frame, 2.5kg will automatically be added to the bar for their next attempt
- First attempt to be submitted no less that 20 minutes prior to the event starting. If the athlete has not submitted their attempt by this time, the minimum opening weight will be loaded on the bar
- Talc & chalk permitted, no grip aids like tacky
- Belts, figure 6 straps, suits are allowed
- For a successful rep you will be given a down call from the head ref. Your ref will be looking for knees locked, shoulders back, hips through and your hands maintaining full contact of the bar, no finger tipping allowed. Control the bar back to the floor. Dropped bars will be deemed no reps.

- 64 + Masters U75kg: 120kg
- 73 + Masters O75kg: 140kg
- 82: 150kg
- Open: 180kg
- 80: 200kg
- 90 + Masters U100kh: 220kg
- 105 + Masters O100kg: 240kg
- HW: 270kg
Keg Press Medley
- Kegs to be lifted in order of ascending weight
- You have 60 seconds to successfully press all 4 kegs, split times will be taken
- Kegs to be locked out over head. Elbows locked, head through
- No resting the keg on your head
- Belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves and chalk allowed. NO GRIP AIDS
- Control the keg back to the ground/drop pad, mic dropping/dumping the keg from over head will result in a no rep.

- 64 + Masters U75kg : 40kg-50kg-55kg-60kg
- 73 + Masters O75kg: 50kg-55kg-60kg-65kg
- 82: 55kg-60kg-65kg-70kg
- Open: 60kg-65kg-70kg-75kg
- 80: 70kg-75kg-80kg-85kg
- 90 + Masters U100kg: 75kg-80kg-85kg-90kg
- 105 + Masters O100kg: 80kg-85kg-90kg-100kg
- HW: 90kg-100kg-110kg-120kg
5 Stone Run
- 60 seconds to complete the run
- A stone is deemed successful when it hits the ground
- Split times will be taken
- 1.2m bar for men & women
- Hands are to be on the bar to start
- Grabbing the bar with your hands is NOT allowed
- Belts, knee sleeves, arm protection sleeves/tape and Tacky is allowed. NO CHALK

73 + Masters O75kg: 90kg,100kg,110kg,120kg, 130kg
82: 90kg,100kg,110kg,120kg, 130kg
Open: 100kg,110kg,120kg, 130kg, 140kg
80: 120kg,130kg,140kg,150kg,160kg
90 + Masters U100kg: 130kg,140kg,150kg,160kg,170kg
105 + Masters O100kg: 140kg,150kg,160kg,170kg,180kg
HW: 160kg,170kg,180kg,190kg, 200kg
Farmers Combo
- 60 seconds to compete your run
- 15m down - drop (Plates are loaded) - 15m back
- Athlete can start with hands on the handles
- Belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves & chalk IS allowed. NO GRIP AID
- Time or distance score will be given

64 + Masters U75: 75kg-95kg
73+ Masters O75: 80kg-100kg
82: 85kg- 105kg
Open: 90kg-110kg
80: 100kg-120kg
90 + Masters U100: 115kg- 135kg
105+ Masters O100: 125kg- 145kg
HW: 140kg - 160kg
Tyre Flip
- 60 seconds to compete 5 full flips
- Belts, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrists wraps, chalk IS allowed
- Athlete will be scores on their complete time or number of flips if not complete
- A successful rep is when they tyre hits the ground (doesn’t necessarily have to settle, but must have hit the ground)
