so Gods, oh Gods lend me your choruslet me remake myself in a cities elevationi will dance for no hand and abstain all temptationif only you promise theses streets do not lead to my eternal damnation-------------The White Hotel presents Queen Midas, an experimental opera for soprano and electronics written by Arizona born and Manchester based wunderkid, Devon Bonelli.This show sees The White Hotel's ambitious classical and choral programme stray into the realms of the dark electronic as our unreliable narrator Queen Midas attempts to celebrate and lament, in corrupted recollection, the joy and darkness of the seminal happenings of 80's and 90's gay and queer culture.This will be the first ever live presentation of the new work and will be staged in-the-round alongside a full AV production.Written and performed by Devon Bonelli, with soprano Georgie Malcolm, libretto by Spencer Mason and choreography by Imogen Reeve and Chloe Smith.O﻿pening the evening is the wonderfully sibylline artist Kaprow and Rosa Methol (DJ) will be soundtracking throughout. Timings6.30pm - doors with Rosa {DJ}7.15pm - Kaprow8.15pm {until 9.30pm} - Queen Midas9.30pm until close with Rosa {DJ}Please note this show will contain flashing images and lights.** this will be largely an unseated event.
