<h3>This Event Is A 3 Hour No-Cost Mini-Conference. </h3>This event is open to all people with an interest in quantum computing, regardless of experience. You’d be challenged to find a more time-effective way to get up to speed on this emerging sector as it leaves the lab and marches down Main Street.

<a href="https://www.scottaaronson.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Scott Aaronson </a>– Professor of Theoretical Computer Scientist and director of <a href="https://www.cs.utexas.edu/~qic/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Quantum Information Center</a> at the University of Texas Austin – will discuss the history of computing and where quantum differs from the classical model, as well as introduce fundamental ideas behind this fascinating technology, including the relevant research and initiatives happening on campus.

Then these two 'Lightning Rounds’, each 30 minutes, will help you appreciate the role two vital components – hardware and software – play to deliver QC prowess to solve problems beyond the capacity of any classical computer.
