Qigong Workshop
Similar to tai chi but simpler to learn, qigong can be seen as a moving meditation. Gentle yet empowering, it promotes wellbeing.
EVENT DETAILS
Developed as a healing art, qigong is a gentle yet empowering movement practice that strengthens your vital energy (qi). Similar to tai chi, it is usually practiced slowly while standing, but because it does not involve a specific sequence of movements it tends to be simpler to learn. No experience needed.
Following qigong practice, we will settle onto the floor to learn a few self-acupressure points. (A couple chairs will be available if needed.) The workshop will conclude with a brief meditation, either seated or supine, in which acupressure will be offered. Bring a mat or blanket if you have one, and wear loose clothing.
LOCATION
Light of Hope | 245 Phenix Ave, Cranston
Note: Turn onto Whiting Street and take the first right to find the parking lot & entrance in the rear of the building. Free street parking (on Whiting Street) is available right beside the parking lot if it's full.
