Qigong to Restore Drop-in Class (virtual)

Class Description:

In this 30-minute class, participants will experience gentle, slow, and fluid series of Qigong movement in various standing positions. Movement focuses on subtle leg bending and circular arm and trunk motion to increase blood and fluid flow throughout the body, reduce joint stiffness and muscle tension, and to improve breath led movement for overall health and well-being.

Note: Individuals who have a standing challenge are welcome to use a chair and stand as the body allows.


Logistical Information:

One "ticket" will grant you admission to one individual class. This class recurs every Friday from 8:00-8:30am virtual via Zoom. Zoom link would be sent to you via Eventbrite email confirmation at the time of your purchase. The class drop-in "ticket" can be used for any one upcoming Friday Qigong 8:00-8:30am class.


Class subject to change based on if a class date lands on a Vanderbilt University Medical Center's observed holidays.


This class is a part of our "M1" Suitability Code Category on our Movement Class Suitability Guide (see below).

M1 classes are suitable for those with some physical limitations and those new to the practice. Modifications available if support of a chair or the wall is needed.

We will email you a Zoom link to join the class once you have registered.

When can I join class once I've registered?

The class drop-in "ticket" can be used for any one upcoming Friday Qigong 8:00-8:30am class. You don't need to sign up for a particular class in advance. Just join via the Zoom link at the class time.

What do I need for this class (clothing/props)?

An exercise/yoga mat is helpful, but can be done without. We recommend wearing loose-fitting clothes.

Do I need a referral to register for this class?

No referral needed for our Movement classes. Anyone can join!
