About this event

Qigong:

Qigong is thousands of years old. The practice is gentle, very powerful, and a lot of fun. Qigong is all about energy; there is a powerful energy that flows through channels or meridians throughout the body. The Qigong Elvia teaches is soft or medical Qigong which helps promote health, healing and peace. Chow Qigong consists of 12 Exercises and a meditation. The benefits of Qigong are numerous with consistent practice.

Elvia first came to the Chow Integrated Healing System in 2009 when her brother found Qigong Master Dr Effie Chow. He had completed 2 heavy chemo treatments with no success and was in terrible pain. Elvia joined her brother in Dr Chow’s Qigong course at her East West Academy of Healing Arts in 2009. Elvia witnessed her brother’s success in controlling his pain and making peace with his past, and eventually transitioning peacefully one year later in early 2010.

Elvia completed the Qigong Certification course in early 2010, and continued working with Dr Chow. Eventually she was mentored by Dr Chow, helped facilitate Dr Chow’s programs, and started teaching alongside her.Always a student of energy healing Elvia has taken courses in Quantum Energy Healing, Tai Chi, Yoga, Reiki, and finally Qigong. She retired in 2009 after a 32-year career as an OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner mostly working at Oakland Kaiser. She started teaching Qigong at SFGH Wellness Center in 2016 to present. She taught Qigong at SF Laguna Honda Center for almost 4 years until classes closed due to COVID in 2020.

Elvia will teach at Hana Holistic Medical Center every Thursday evening starting Jan 2024.

Her class is limitted to 8 persons and begneers are welcome to her class.
