Python Workshop

​We firmly believe that encouragement and early education in STEM is an ideal platform to develop a girl’s communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical-thinking abilities, which are important in building an informed and balanced society.  These abilities can help girls -whether or not they pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math– acquire skills to confront real-world problems, examine issues, and apply knowledge to search for solutions.​All Girls STEM Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, strives to inspire and excite girls to begin to pursue STEM, through various free events and workshops that involve STEM projects in a fun and hands-on environment.

Have you ever wondered what a “turtle” is? No, not the cute sea animal, but the awesome Python library that creates pictures and shapes! If you’re interested in learning about the wonders of graphic programming and the fascinating world of turtles, join us for our Python workshop! In this workshop, we will explore the basics of Python coding—including loops and libraries— through fun, hand-on activities, with plenty of opportunities to win cool prizes in trivia!​For girls in grades 3-8.
