Join Palmdale Water District (PWD), Capture6 and state and local leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the state-of-the-art Pure Water AV demonstration facility.
The facility will demonstrate how PWD will utilize proven water purification technology to clean recycled water to produce safe, high-quality drinking water. In collaboration with Capture6's Project Monarch, the facility will exhibit a first-of-its-kind technology that removes carbon dioxide from the air using waste brine from Pure Water AV.
At full-scale, the water purification plant would produce up to 4.5 million gallons of purified water daily, enough to serve more than 14,500 homes annually. Through partnership with Capture6, Pure Water AV will become the first advanced water treatment plant to treat brine and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through cutting edge, direct air capture technology.
