Alyssa Marquez hails from Yuma, AZ where she came out of the womb in pointe shoes. She's been dancing ever since and has performed all over the world as a professional dancer and burlesque performer, and can almost always be found on stage on any given night in LA. In 2017 she created Empowerment in Heels to provide a safe space for all bodies to explore their own sensuality and empowerment through the art of burlesque. In 2018 she created and directed the hit cannabis musical, Marijuana Madness, which had two very different editions exploring two different moments in cannabis history through live music and burlesque performance. Then, she produced the very first Moonlighting Menagerie, which also served as a voter registration event and then turned into a monthly residency production show for Empowerment in Heels in 2019. In the fall of 2020, she partnered with Ashley Hayward to create ROAD STRIP, a traveling docu-series following both as they try to navigate being artists and performers during a global pandemic. As a producer, Miss Marquez has sold out LA venues such as El Cid, Harvelle's, Three Clubs, and Los Globos and has also produced and performed at residencies at North End, Flying Embers, Apotheke, Hotel Figueroa, and Three Clubs. Just this past July, Miss Marquez opened the EIH LOFT, and dance and studio space in the DTLA Arts District.
