Pumpkins and Pints

Houston LEAD provides weekly classroom content that cultivates our LEADer’s senses of Vision, Empathy & Tenacity as the foundation for opportunity and success in high school and beyond – be it college, military service, joining the family business, learning a trade, or another form of mindful, meaningful citizenship. We partner with university honors colleges, churches, and corporations that seek to serve youth as mentors twice a month. We take summer adventure trips in other parts of the country that are full of joy and struggle and growth. We go together, we grow together.LEAD’s vision is to eliminate the 9th grade dropout rate in Harris County by helping middle school students create a vision for personal success and then build a solid foundation to achieve it.

<P>On Sunday October 22nd from 12-4p join us for Houston LEAD inaugural Pumpkins and Pints social and fundraising event. Enjoy live music, fun games, pumpkin painting and craving, and local craft beer at the historic Raven Tower located just north of downtown Houston. We were all affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey so let's take a day to celebrate life, give back to our community, because we are HOUSTONSTRONG! This is a family friendly event so please bring the kiddos.</P>
