You are cordially invited to the Pullman Railroad Days Reception and National Railroad Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in honor of labor and civil rights trailblazer Asa Philip Randolph.

A fearless leader who transformed railroad labor and civil rights, Asa Philip Randolph was the founder of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters - the first all-African-American union to be recognized by the American Federation of Labor. He was a dedicated civil rights activist who played an essential role in defining the early Civil Rights Movement and was instrumental in pressuring the federal government to eliminate discriminatory practices throughout the military and defense department. In 1963, Asa Philip Randolph was the lead organizer of the historic March on Washington.

The National Railroad Hall of Fame will present Randolph's prestigious induction medallion to Pullman National Historical Park to be permanently displayed in the National Park Visitor Center in recognition of his pivotal role in the Pullman story.

Enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and your favorite refreshments as we feature a wonderful program that delves into Asa Philip Randolph's long career. Speakers will include NPS Superintendent Teri Gage, National Railroad Hall of Fame Executive Director Julie King, HPF Board President Maria P. Hibbs, and HPF Executive Director Robert Montgomery.

Tickets are available individually or, purchase a whole table with 8 seats for your group.
