In this series of outdoor conversations, we invite speakers to give a short tour of an overlooked public space or architectural feature on the Uni Melb Campus. For this session, Dr. Soon-Tzu Speechley will discuss how historic facades from razed buildings in the city’s Central Business District have been incorporated into the structures on the University of Melbourne campus. This will serve as a jump off point for an informal conversation on the nature of preservation and heritage.
Meet at 11:00am in front of Standing Room Coffee @ the Glyn Davis Building (Melbourne School of Design), from there we will travel around the area of University Plaza, cafe and route are wheelchair accessible.
