As the City's primary capital construction project manager, the New York City Department of Design and Construction builds many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day. We provide communities with new or renovated structures such as firehouses, libraries, police precincts, courthouses, senior centers and more.Our work doesn't stop at buildings- we also design and build vital roadway, water main, sewer and pedestrian ramp projects. Infrastructure that is essential to a healthy and resilient city.

Please join us for a Public Information Session to discuss with the industry a request for professional services to include design, construction management and construction services for a juvenile facility located in Brooklyn, NY. The proposed facility is approximately 180,000 GSF, intended to provide a place for positive youth development; provide educational and aspirational vocational skills; create a safe environment as the foundation of sound facility management; and offer components that are essential to an effective and positive environment including: education; life skills training; physical health; internship programs; recreational and spiritual programs.

Consistent with the goals of Design and Construction Excellence 2.0, the project will be an expression of the agency’s guiding principles of equity, sustainability, resiliency, and healthy living.

Please bring a photo identification card to enter the building. This event may be photographed and/or videotaped. Parking is extremely limited. Mass transportation is highly recommended.
