About this event

A 2.2km swim from the Pilchard Inn, Burgh Island on the incoming tide to The Quay, Bantham. Followed by a short sharp run/walk up the hill towards Bantham. The finish is in the lane from Bantham Quay and at The Sloop there will be beer and a pasty for all Pub2Pubbers !

There are individual prizes with a special category for those Pub2Pubbers lucky enough to be over 50 and a fun village rivalry prize for the best village (most points earned). Villages are - Bantham, West Buckland, Thurlestone, Hope Cove and Rest of the World. If you don't have an affilation with a particular village, choose RoW but if that has sold out just choose a village you like the sound of !

The Pub2Pub is run entirely by volunteers, we do not ask for sponsorship or donations - everyone lucky enough to be a Pub2Pubber donates the same amount. ALL our proceeds go to BSLC and BSC learn to sail scheme, with over £23k raised since 2014.

Check your emails on Friday 2nd August for final race instructions as timings and race start location are subject to change due to the weather and state of the tide. In the event of bad weather we have a contingency plan to hold the race on 4th August at 5.30pm

Entry limited to Over 18s only, participants must be able to swim 2km in 50 minutes (or less), if a swimmer falls too far behind the main group we reserve the right to remove that swimmer from the water to ensure everyone's safety

Two keen swimmers who met when living in Dubai and have holidayed in Bantham for more than 60 years between them !  They organised the first Pub2Pub in 2014 and have made this a regular feature of a Bantham summer.
