Dr. Marni Chanoff is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital, and she is the Founder and CEO of Joy In Health, a Boston based integrative mental health practice providing a team approach to integrative mental health, including ketamine assisted psychotherapy.

Dr. Dan Rome is a senior physician executive with more than 30 years of experience in direct patient care, healthcare administration, and leadership, managed behavioral healthcare, care management & healthcare consulting.

Dick Simon, Co-Founder and Board Member, Sensorium Therapeutics

Dick is a serial entrepreneur and leader in advancing psychedelic-assisted therapies. He is the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Center for the Neuroscience of Psychedelics at Massachusetts General Hospital and co-founder and board member of the Boston Psychedelic Research Group. He is on the steering committee for the Psychedelic Science Funders Collaborative.

Speaker Bios

Kevin C. Conroy, Partner, Foley Hoag

Kevin Conroy is a partner in Foley Hoag's Boston office with a primary focus on government investigations and regulatory matters. He co-chairs the firm's Cannabis and State Attorney General groups.

Kevin helps clients find workable solutions within highly regulated industries. He has considerable experience developing proactive strategies to guide clients through every aspect of the regulatory process, including cannabis and gaming licensing, consumer protection investigations and rate proceedings.

Kevin advises a variety of cannabis investors and operators across the United States regarding compliance with state and local cannabis laws and regulations. He has helped clients secure cannabis licenses in multiple states and works with them to obtain state approval for changes of ownership as part of multi-state and international transactions. Kevin has helped a variety of Multi-state Operators including Ascend, Ayr, the Cannabist, Holistic and 4Front gain state regulatory approval for their multi-state transactions. He also advises clients in enforcement proceedings brought by state cannabis regulators and has negotiated a series of resolutions with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission that have allowed licensed cannabis companies to stay open despite allegations of serious regulatory violations.

Kevin has been advising cannabis clients since the Commonwealth of Massachusetts legalized medical use marijuana in 2012. In Massachusetts, he represents cannabis clients who have adult-use and medical licenses and represents a variety of clients who are in the adult-use application process. Kevin works regularly with the staff of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and frequently provides day to day compliance advice to licensed cannabis companies.

Kevin previously served as the Massachusetts Deputy Attorney General, supervising nearly all civil matters in the office including non-profit, consumer enforcement, insurance, financial services, health care and energy.

Marni Chanoff, M.D., Founder and CEO, Joy In Health

Dr. Marni Chanoff is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital, and she is Founder and CEO of Joy In Health, a Boston based integrative mental health practice providing a team approach to integrative mental health, including ketamine assisted psychotherapy. She completed residency at Harvard's MGH/McLean Psychiatry Training Program, receiving the Mel Kayce Award for Excellence in Psychotherapy. She attended the University of Miami School of Medicine, where she graduated with research distinction and was honored as the most distinguished graduate in psychiatry. She trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) with The Ketamine Training Center. She also completed MAPS PBC's MDMA Therapy Educational Program and plans to become certified as soon as this new approach is approved for the treatment of PTSD. She completed her Ayurvedic studies at the Kripalu School of Ayurveda. and is certified as a culinary coach by Harvard's Institute of Lifestyle Medicine. She also completed fellowships at The MGH Center for Psychoanalytic Studies and Harvard University Health Services. Following her training, she joined the clinical faculty at McLean Hospital as Psychiatrist-in-Charge of the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Program. She then served as an Ellenhorn PACT Team Psychiatrist, Chief Medical Officer and founded their Wellness Program. She has been in private practice for several years and is now thrilled to build Joy In Health.

Dan Rome, M.D., Co-Founder and CMO, Enthea

Dr. Dan Rome is a senior physician executive with more than 30 years of experience in direct patient care, healthcare administration and leadership, managed behavioral healthcare, care management & healthcare consulting. He has served in numerous physician leadership roles including Chief Medical Officer for Beacon Health Strategies; Vice President for Medical Affairs at Tufts Health Plan; & Medical Director of Behavioral Health, at Evolent Health. He has also served as Medical Director for Fallon Total Care, a specialty health plan for Medicare/Medicaid recipients. Earlier in his career, as Tufts Health Plan’s Assistant Vice President for Mental Health Services, Dr. Rome guided the development and managed the operation of the health plan’s fully in-house, integrated mental health services program. Dr. Rome has also served as Psychiatrist-in-Charge at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA, Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, & attending psychiatrist at Deaconess Waltham Hospital in Waltham, MA. Dr. Rome is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School.

He is the Chairman of the Advisory Council of Center for the Neuroscience of Psychedelics at Massachusetts General Hospital, co-founder and board member of the Boston Psychedelic Research Group and is on the steering committee for the Psychedelic Science Funders Collaborative. After September 11, 2001, Dick co-founded and led the YPO Peace Action Network which leverages personal and business relationships, resources, and expertise for conflict resolution on local and global levels. Dick's work has earned him YPO's Global Humanitarian Award, Harvard Business School's Making a Difference Award, inclusion in Real Leaders magazine's “100 Visionary Leaders” and in the “100 Most Influential People in Psychedelics” list.
