Description

Case Management in Your Community is a training that uses a healing-centered and equity-based approach to guide practitioners in learning the foundations of case management and professional ethics. Participants will engage in practical skill-building exercises on understanding bias, setting professional boundaries, and effective communication. Each participant will be prepared with best-practice solutions regarding data management, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making.


Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify and analyze professional boundaries and boundary style.
  • Apply techniques of active listening and body language assessment.
  • Engage and explore the case management process from assessment to documentation.
  • Evaluate and interpret how bias and stereotypes impact policies and practices enacted in case management.

Presenter

Dominique Mack is a brilliant writer, counselor, consultant and advocate. Known for her unorthodox approach, Dominique breaks down the complex topics in a relatable, inclusive and accessible way.

Dominique's training draws from her over ten years of human services experience utilizing best practice solutions, policy integration methods and advocacy techniques that center the experiences of people of color and marginalized communities, in the workplace and in accessing vital social resources. These can be tailored into 1-4 hour increment sessions.

Yes, $20/member and $30/non-member. We want to promote professional development for family support providers. If you or your organization is unable to pay the registration fee, please contact Ricardo Eugenio at ricardo.eugenio@safeandsound.org.

Where is this training?

Virtually on zoom. Zoom information will be sent the day before the training after registration closes.
