Provider's Role in Behavior Support, Self Determination & Positive Culture

Those providing Homemaker/Personal Care services are required to annually complete training in these topics. This session will review: the providers role in providing behavior support, elements of a behavior plan, the definition of self-determination as it relates to individuals with disabilities, activities that assist in teaching self-advocacy, Positive Culture and the provider’s role in creating it, examples of positive interventions, and person-first language.
