In this training you will become certified in the Strengthening Families Framework , a strength-based theory developed by the Center for Study of Social Policy and the National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds(CTFA). This workshop will be facilitated by a licensed trainer through the CTFA , Elizabeth Smith, the founder of Project Whole Child. Participants to receive a manual, certificate of completion, and will receive bonus classroom and training materials.The Five Protective Factors:<ul><li>Social Connections</li><li>Parental Resiliency</li><li>Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development</li><li>Concrete Support in Times of Need</li><li>Social &amp; Emotional Competence of Children</li></ul>Upon completing this course participants should be able to:<ul><li>List 5 Protective Factors that help keep families strong and prevent child abuse and child neglect</li><li>Identify multiple strategies and concrete everyday actions that help families build those protective factors</li><li>Understand what it means to work with families in a strength-based way</li></ul>These resources share concrete examples across the socio-ecological model of ways in which the Protective Factors framework is springing to life across the nation.Strategically aligning and coordinating early learning and development across state systems, Promoting school readiness, Involving and supporting parents as decision-makers and leaders at all levels, and Helping to strengthen families to prevent child maltreatmentFor more information contact: Elizabeth Smith (530) 329-5109 or elizabeth@projectwholechild.com
