DLR Integration Forum and dlr County Council will host this follow-up seminar to their very successful ‘Promoting Cultural Integration & Inclusion in the Workplace’ event which was held in January 2024 as preparation for the development of dlr’s Integration Strategy.

A participative seminar to discuss the current picture of Migrant communities,Traveller community, International Protection Applicants and the Ukrainian community integrating in dlr. This seminar aims to provide context, an overview of lived experience, an insight into policy development, and good practice locally and nationally on ‘Promoting Cultural Integration & Inclusion in the Community’.

Opening address by Denis O'Callaghan, Cathaoirleach, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

Speakers on the day include Sandra King (Social Inclusion Manager, Southside Partnership DLR) & Garda Sudita Zalli (Garda National Diversity Unit).

Panelists include Pierrot Ngadi (dlr Integration Forum, Congolese Anti-Poverty Network & UN Ambassador for Peace), Geraldine Dunne (Director Southside Travellers Action Group), Emma McDonnell (Senior Psychologist , Migrant Lead, HSE), Sandra Mpofu (Volunteer Development Officer, Volunteer Ireland), Tom Feeney (Chairperson, Blackrock Business Association) with more panelists to come. Guests are welcome to explore the information stands available on the day.
