About this event

Welcome to Junior Chefs of America! Where we find fun ways to promote healthy eating by combining basic STEAM education classes (Science, Technology, English, Arts & Math) with culinary recipes.

This is an hands-on class that will teach our junior chefs the importance of gardening and where their food comes from. Although our class is from 10am - 12pm, Sweet Organic Farm hosts a farmers market from 12pm-4pm. Parents, Guardians, and/or Grandparents are welcome to attend for FREE with your kids on that day!

We will have lunch provided for our Junior Chefs, if you would like to have a lunch, give us a call IMMEDIATELY AFTER BOOKING to place an order for a lunch box. They are $15 per box with choice of Salad or Deli sandwich.

Park on Comanche Avenue off of Hanley Road. Traveling west on Hillsborough Ave. from the Veteran’s Expressway, turn right on Hanley Rd (at CVS Pharmacy). Take the next right on Comanche Ave and park in one of the three areas listed below. Walk east down the sidewalk and across the walking bridge over Sweetwater Creek. The Farm driveway will be on your right through the fence:

1. Park along the chainlink fence on the north side of Comanche Avenue. (Please do not park in the two spaces closest to the creek. Backing out is difficult and dangerous to pedestrians.)

2. Park in the parking lot of the tan building with green roof on the south side of Comanche Avenue (look for the Sweetwater parking sign). We have an agreement to use their lot on Sundays and for special events.

3. Park in the Church parking lot on the corner of Hanley and Comanche Avenue. We have an agreement to use their lot on Sundays and for special events.

About Our School

Since 2014, we have been noted as being the 1st school in the U.S. to place Professional Chefs & Tutors in one classroom to give your child an unforgettable experience! We have grown since that time and have also moved our classes to the Community serving others with served food prepared by our Junior Chefs.

We have 2 Ways to participate in our classes:

In-Person: Each school year we explore Foods from Around the World! We travel the globe without ever leaving the classroom. During each class adventure, our handpicked team of culinary experts show your kids how to prepare different foods from all over the world. Tutors have fun in each class teaching educational lessons to help reiterate that cuisine or location.

#ProjectJCOA Community Classes: Fighting Hunger One Meal At-A-Time!! By creatively partnering with the community, we help fight hunger by offering impactful programs. We offer programs like Farm-To-Table Adventures where we visit local farms, we host Community Cooking classes at different placed like senior citizen centers, family shelters, churches, & more. At our community classes, kids & teens prepare food and serve their prepared meals back to that local establishment.

The expedition begins when you arrive; see you there!

We believe the next generation of great chefs will come from culinary schools that embrace early enrollment as young as 4 years old!

At Junior Chefs of America we help foster a passion for cooking, while also giving our children & teens an educational balance. Together with Chefs & Tutors, we teach Math, Science, English, And History Through Culinary Artistic Recipes.

This new innovative method of combining both elements in a fun atmosphere is what makes us unique. Our school is open to children ages 4-17 years old, with toddler and adult classes periodically. Classes are held at our main campus, and different off-site venues throughout the year. Follow us on Facebook to see where we host classes, along with cameo appearances. New techniques and recipes each month.
