Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) in partnership with Mission Springs Water District is proud to present our Project WET 2024 Workshop.
This workshop will provide educators with an abundance of tools and hands-on activities to share our water message as well as deliver California’s history/social science standards through an environmental lens. All of the activities are tied to Common Core and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Project WET, an award-winning, multidisciplinary program teaches about water resources, and the role water plays in various ecosystems and human life through hands-on, investigative activities that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
This workshop is ideal for K-12 formal and informal educators interested in cross-curriculum water education lessons.
Workshop participants will “splash” through the newly updated Foundations of Water Education guide and learn how to make the most of the Project WET activities.
Workshop attendees will receive:
• Project WET Foundations of Water Education Guide
• Project WET Educator Certificate
• Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided. Lunch will be catered by Aspen Mills Bakery.
• $20 registration fee reimbursement upon completion of workshop
