Ann Berry Somers, Senior Lecturer Emerita at UNCG, will share information about the Box Turtle Connection. This project is a long-term study of box turtles in North Carolina to learn about trends in population, identify threats, and develop strategies for long term conservation of the species. Also, educators from Greensboro Parks and Recreation will show a variety of turtles to learn their differences.
