Join us over Zoom for a powerful conversation led by executive leaders from The Startup Ladies (TSL), the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce (IBCC), and the Indy Rainbow Chamber of Commerce (IRCC).
This session will center the voices of entrepreneurs who are often overlooked in the startup space—women, Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ founders. These founders will speak candidly about the realities they face while building and growing their businesses. We’ll explore the obstacles they navigate daily—from access to capital and networks to bias in customer interactions—and the unique opportunities they uncover while innovating in underserved and overlooked markets.
Just as importantly, we’ll discuss the lived experiences of their customers—communities that also encounter systemic barriers and whose needs are often ignored by mainstream solutions.
This is part of the Project Boardup training and participants do not need to register or pay anything to attend. Members of the public can purchase tickets for $25.
Why Attend?
This event is for both entrepreneurs and executives:
- Entrepreneurs will gain a supportive space to share their experiences, build visibility, and influence how the startup support ecosystem evolves to better serve them.
- Executives interested in serving on advisory boards led by diverse founders will walk away with a deeper understanding of the challenges—and strengths—these founders bring to the table. You’ll gain insight into how you can be a truly effective and culturally aware advisor, equipped to support companies innovating for all kinds of markets.
If you care about inclusive innovation, economic equity, and building a more representative business landscape, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss.
