Programmatic Assessment Masterclass and Roundtable

Western Australian General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET) is an independent company established by a consortium of Western Australian organisations with an interest in general practice education and training.WAGPET is the sole provider of the Australian General Practice Training Program for GP registrars in Western Australia and one of nine Regional Training Organisations (RTOs) in Australia engaged by the national training coordinator, the Department of Health.

You are invited to the Programmatic Assessment Masterclass, where we will explore programmatic assessment solutions, evidence and implementation in a variety of medical education contexts. Held on Tuesday, 7 November 2017, the masterclass will include presentations from world-leading researchers and advocates in programmatic assessment followed by questions, case studies and small group discussions.
Presentations 
How has programmatic assessment (FOR learning and OF learning) evolved from testing, competencies, EPAs and what is the natural development?
Presenter: Professor Cees van der Vleuten
What problems does programmatic assessment solve and what is the evidence that it does?
Presenter: Professor Lambert Schuwirth
Exploring the issues affecting the implementation of programmatic assessment in a structure environment (such as medical school) and unstructured environment (such as GP training).
Presenters: Ms Christine Cook and Associate Professor Jill Benson AM
Following on from the Programmatic Assessment Masterclass, you are invited as an expert advisor to attend a roundtable event from 12:30 - 3:30pm.
Co-facilitated by Professor Cees van der Vleuten and Professor Lambert Schuwirth, the session will consider and explore programmatic assessment more deeply in the context of WA.
The focussing questions for the session will be:
