Speakers: Dr. Colleen Hamilton

Speaker Qualifications:

Dr. Colleen Hamilton is a Licensed Psychologist at Lepage Associates Psychological Services in Durham; she has a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and has worked with children, adolescents, young adults and adults for over 15 years. Dr. Hamilton provides psychotherapy and evaluations for all ages. She enjoys helping clients meet their therapeutic goals, as well as better understand and improve their cognitive functioning.

During this time:

  • Is it just us, or are we losing our memory more and more? Is it stress? What is it?
  • How do we identify and address memory loss?
  • Strategies or techniques to improve your memory
  • Detecting and addressing substance use related to memory function, especially as it may impact competence, professionalism and fitness to practice
  • Note: Experiential exercises, practices, or demonstrations of tools for improving resilience and well-being are permitted provided they do not exceed a combined total of 20 minutes in any 60-minute presentation.
  • Q&A (10 minutes)

• Attorney-supervised means the paralegal must be employed by a licensed attorney and under regular supervision to prevent the unauthorized practice of law.

• Attorneys signing up paralegals take responsibility for their employee’s registration fees and participation in the program and agree to pay full and fair wages for time the paralegal trains in the seminar as part of work hours/on-the-job training.

This is an interdisciplinary seminar, so please be mindful that we will have individuals of various levels of knowledge attending and have law enforcement, therapists, and other anti-trafficking professionals in attendance. It will be an excellent opportunity for all.
