About this event

Business Local Network (BLN) is a supportive and relaxed networking community for business owners across East Sussex. We meet regularly in three vibrant locations to nurture genuine connections, share ideas, and grow together.

We kick off each month with a visit to The Pamper Lounge in Uckfield on the second Wednesday, followed by a meet-up at Abbots Wood Manor in Hailsham on the third Tuesday. We wrap up the month with our final event at Mortain Place in Eastbourne on the fourth Wednesday.

Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned entrepreneur, BLN is all about building real relationships and creating opportunities in a friendly, non-pressured environment.

At our Hailsham and Eastbourne events, you'll enjoy complimentary hot drinks and pastries, with free parking available onsite.

At our Uckfield event, The Pamper Lounge provides drinks and nibbles for a £4 surcharge, payable on the day. Parking is free, just a short walk away, but please do check the individual time limits—cameras are in operation.

Who is this for?

BLN is open to anyone who runs, supports, or works in a business—whether you're self-employed, part of a small team, or working in a larger company. From startups to seasoned pros, everyone is welcome.

Can I just turn up on the day?

We kindly ask everyone to book in advance so we can plan refreshments and make sure there’s space for everyone. Last-minute bookings are fine (as long as there’s still availability!), but we don’t usually take walk-ins.

Do I have to attend all three locations?

Not at all! Some people like to stick to their hometown networking group, while others love venturing out and meeting new faces across East Sussex. You’re welcome to attend one, two, or all three events—it’s completely up to you.

Is there any formal structure?

There’s a gentle agenda to keep things flowing, but no hard structure. No pressure. No awkward sales pitches. Just space to connect, chat, and grow your business in a way that feels natural.

What do I need to bring?

A smile! You’re also welcome to bring colleagues or business friends—just be sure to book them in. Don’t forget your business cards and feel free to come armed with any challenges you’re facing. You never know—someone in the room might have the perfect solution or spark of inspiration.

Yes! Business Local Network has a growing group of lovely members who enjoy perks such as their own webpage, discounts on networking meetings, and access to our member-only WhatsApp group to keep the conversation going between events.
