My name is Olena Hassell, I am a photographer, a mum of 2 young girls and an instagrammer with over 250K followers. It’s my third time here on Skillshare teaching photography and composition classes and sharing my best tips and tricks for becoming a skilled in-demand photographer.

After taking this class you will end up with 3 very different and highly customizable crafts that you can use for decorating your home for the holidays, parties and special events, or simply to uplift your working space, find delight in everyday environment or set the stage for your creative side-hassle.

My 5 Photography Pro Tips that will make your Flatlay images stand out on Instagram that help you grow and attract loyal following and the right photography clients.

The styling skills you will learn in this class are highly transferable and can be used in many types of photography, including food, still life, product and flatlay and will help you create gorgeous social media posts!

Materials and equipment required for this class:

  • Patterned recycled paper (gift wrapping paper, paper bags, flower wrap, magazine covers)
  • Cardstock in solid colors (8x11 in)
  • Toilet raper roll cores (or craft cardboard tubes)
  • Scissors & tape
  • Kitchen/gardening twine
  • Glue (paper gun works best, but school glue works well too)
  • Smartphone or DSLR to take photos with

In this class you will go behind the scenes with me as I share the secrets of beautiful imagery and get:

  • A list of props and backdrops/surfaces you need to create compelling images (plus budget-friendly tips and tricks to help you get started!)
