This panel features Lee Adam’s host and producer of the Emmy nominated YouTube Originals series ‘Glad You asked’ by Vox and Lauren Wimbush Associate Producer on the Emmy Award winning feature Miles Davis: Birth of The CoolAttendees can expect to gain insight on how to properly research, pre-interview, build interviews, manage budgets and more.The panel will be followed with a 30 minute Q &amp; ALauren Wimbush is a producer and archival researcher dedicated to telling compelling and thought provoking non-fiction stories featuring underrepresented characters, communities, and experiences. Lauren has contributed to a range of feature documentaries and long form television projects for networks such as OWN, PBS, BET, and ABC News. Lauren received her B.A. degree in English from Amherst College, and an M.S. degree in Media Management from The New School, specializing in producing and media business and leadership. Lauren served as the Associate Producer on the Emmy Award winning feature Miles Davis: Birth of The Cool, produced by Firelight Films. Currently, she is serving as the Co-Producer on an upcoming feature documentary produced by Fork Films.Lee Adams was born and raised in Northern Virginia, Lee Adams is an award winning Brooklyn based documentary filmmaker and journalist. He is currently a host and producer of the Emmy nominated Youtube Originals series “Glad You Asked” by VOX. Lee is best known for his work at VICE where he created and hosted the digital documentary series “Minority Reports” which has over 30 million views and debuted as one of the top 10 trending videos in the world on youtube. His work in front of the camera includes “Let Lee Explain” a sharable explainer series, Forgotten Generation a series profiling the youth of failing industry towns, and moderating a number of debate style round table discussions concerning a wide range of topics including police officers dissecting police brutality and racial bias. His work behind the camera includes producing and directing both the Emmy-nominated VICELAND series “Weediquette,” and the award-winning sports docu-series “Red Cards,” along with a number of commercials and the feature film Are We Not Cats?.
