PRODUCE IT

Take your next event from idea to execution. In this workshop we'll dive into the planning cycle of hosting an artistic event and come away with tangible work plans to make it happen. Through flash work sessions, brainstorming, and small group coaching, we'll quickly hone key components like your artistic concept, venue planning, budgeting, fundraising, audience development, marketing, production management, staffing and more.

MEET YOUR PRESENTER

Jerry Tischleder is a curator, producer, performer and arts administrator working in Portland, Oregon. Jerry is the founder of Risk/Reward – an interdisciplinary organization that champions artists and audiences who push the boundaries of the performing arts. Under his leadership, Risk/Reward has featured work by over 100 artist groups since 2008. He is the ArtsHub Director at Artists Rep and was a Company Member with Hand2Mouth Theatre from 2006-2016. He has served on curatorial and grant panels for numerous organizations including On the Boards, the National Performance Network, the Regional Arts and Culture Council, the MAP Fund, and the Network of Ensemble Theatres. He is a graduate of the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance and was a Leadership U fellow, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group.
