The Graphic Design program at Miami University prepares learners to be adaptable people who respond to the present and shape the future. Here's what's unique about our program and the learners who emerge from it:Thinking DesignersWhen designers solve problems, they think about the future, first. What could be, and what should be? They evaluate the whole and its many parts... and then they create effective solutions.Broad Design KnowledgeCommunicating messages and building brands can't be done with a single approach. Knowing a broad range of design approaches is necessary.Design SkillsWith practice, skills are gained, developed, and refined. Skills are like tools in a designer's kit and can be used to produce many different outcomes.Our mission is to enable learners to gain the design thinking, knowledge, and skills required of practicing designers in areas like communication design, user experience design, and branding. Learners grow these competencies through exercises, projects, and learning experiences designed to develop practical, analytical, creative, emotional, and social intelligences. Design Miami OH

<H4><EM>Processed</EM> is an evening of design featuring the Miami University Graphic Design Class of 2017. Students will present the results of their culminating design projects in three short sessions, mixed with time for attendees to mingle, reconnect, and inquire.</H4>
<P>This year’s degree project topics run the gamut from solutions for introverts maneuvering the high school social scene to time management and wellness through cooking for busy college athletes. With each 7-minute presentation, these up-and-coming designers will share ways they have combined research and design to create innovative outcomes. The Miami Graphic Design Class of 2017 is now ready to be exported into the world. Join us at Union Hall in Cincinnati to celebrate their achievements and their futures.</P>
