Print Your Own Tote! – Linocut Printmaking Workshop at Low Lane with Blaise Butler

Join us at Low Lane, Kilkenny, as we transform into a vibrant print studio for an evening of coffee and creativity! Guided by local printmaker Blaise Butler, you’ll design and hand-print your very own cotton tote bag (provided). No experience needed!

Enjoy coffee and cakes available to purchase on the night, and leave with a one-of-a-kind, wearable piece of art. A perfect alternative evening out that combines creativity, craft, and coffee!

Preparing Your Design

You’re welcome to bring along a design that’s ready to transfer onto your lino—this way, you’ll have more time to focus on the fun part: carving and printing!. Alternatively, you can sketch out your design during the workshop itself.

Tip: Because the workshop is just 2 hours, keep your designs simple, bold, and graphic for the best results.

Lino block size: maximum 150 x 200 mm. You can also choose to work smaller, which is great for creating repeat patterns that look fantastic when printed multiple times.

Tote Bag or T-Shirt – Your Choice

Each participant will receive one cotton tote bag to print on (included in your ticket price).

If you’d prefer, feel free to bring your own light-coloured cotton T-shirt to upcycle instead—but please note this is instead of the tote bag, as printing time is limited! :)
