About this event

The Printmaking Laboratory is a time and place to dedicate to honing skills in printmaking. Open to former students and artists already comfortable with a particular print medium, the Laboratory is designed to give those artists the time and equipment to create. An artist from Visual Philosophy will be available during the Laboratory for questions and assistance, but will be printing alongside you and will NOT be instructing. If you need instruction in a particular area of the Shop please sign up for a class.

The entire Philosophy Press Print Shop at Visual Philosophy will be open to printmakers who want to use our tools and equipment for Stone and Plate Lithography, Photo Emulsion Screen Printing, Etching with Copper and Ferric Chloride, Linoleum Block Printing, Letterpress on our C&P 11x15" Platen Press, Monotype and Woodcut. We will also have the 12x20" Full Spectrum Laser Cutter available for 2 hour session bookings. This is also a great time for all stained glass artists and all 2D art. Artists must bring all their own materials, there will be general shop tools for use. We look forward to building a great community of printmakers.

Whether you're a seasoned printmaker or a curios beginner that has taken an intro class, this dynamic space promised atmosphere where art comes to life.

Dive into the world of prints, mingle with fellow artists, and let your imagination run wild!

Please specify which area or tools you wish to use upon registration and whether you have taken a class with us before or at another location.
