Outpatient Primary Care Procedure Bootcamp - For Parkview Employed APPs Only
*This is a Two Day event for Parkview Employed APPs Only. You must attend both days to get credit for this course. The dates for this event are: 2/27/24 and 2/28/24. We must have a minimum of four attendees for this course to take place. We will close registration 2 weeks prior to the date of the event. You will receive notification if we cancel due to lack of attendees.
Day 1: Tuesday, February 27th, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Day 2: Wednesday, February 28th, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Location: Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation, Advanced Medical Simulation Lab, 10622 Parkview Plaza Drive, Entrance B, Fort Wayne, IN 46845. The Simulation Lab is on the first floor, to the left just through entrance B.

OBJECTIVES:
Explain indications and contraindications, demonstrate increased confidence, skill, and knowledge of the following procedures:
• Local anesthesia
• Suturing
• Wound Care & Repair
• Soft tissue foreign body & fishhook removal
• Skin lesion removal
• Abscess Incision and Drainage (I&D)
• Nail trephination & paronychia drainage
• ENT procedures
• Epistaxis management
• Corneal foreign body management
• Orthopedic evaluation/management
• Splinting
• Pelvic examination
• Digital rectal exam
