The Urban Hive

Z﻿ LaFrance (they/them) will exhibit the work they created for the Pride is a Protest Poster Series in 2022, and will talk about how they have expanded this series and the work they are doing since it was completed. We will also have a panel discussion with creatives from our region and will discuss how creatives can use their talent to advocate for causes they care about.A﻿bout Z LaFrance: Z LaFrance (they/them) is a trans non-binary art director, graphic designer, and illustrator.Z has almost a decade of experience working freelance or with various marketing agencies throughout the Sacramento area. Their favorite projects involve motion design, brand identity, or illustration. Bonus if the topic concerns affecting change related to lgbtq+ issues and social justice.Z has always been a maker. Since age eight, they've been busy with creative projects like designing zines, illustrating comics, and sewing stuffed animals. To this day, there is always an ongoing project happening in their studio.
