Preston's Campaign Kickoff

We are the campaign committee working to keep Judge Preston Jones, Jr. in the countywide Flanagan Vacancy.  Judge Jones was appointed to the vacancy in September, but needs to be elected in the Primary Election on March 20, 2018 to retain his seat.  Judge Jones has been found Highly Qualified by the Chicago Bar Association and has been a career Assistant Public Defender working on some of the most serious and complex cases in Cook County.  We need qualified judges who will applythe law fairly and equally to everyone-- regardless of race, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, nation of origin, age, or religious affiliation.  Preston will do that as a judge just as he has for decades as a public defender- he hasn't gotten to pick his clients but he has treated each one with respect and dignity.  Judge Jones is endorsed by the Cook County Democratic Party.Please visit www.prestonjonesforjudge.com for more details on this outstanding candidate.

Preston is proud to have been endorsed by the Cook County Democratic Party as a countywide judicial candidate, but we have more than that to celebrate-- Preston will be sworn in on September 25th as a Cook County Circuit Court Judge!  He is thrilled to have been selected by the Illinois Supreme Court for this tremendous honor. However, we still have a campaign to run.  Illinois Supreme Court appointments are for a limited period to fill a vacancy created by a retiring judge- and his appointment terminates in December 2018.  Let's ensure that Preston is sworn in again by winning this race!
