PRESSED is a two-person sketch show about controlling the narrative. In a razor-sharp tour of American chaos agents, you’ll meet a talk show host in shock, a fallen starlet who can’t tapdance, and a volunteer sea marshal answering the call of duty. As sketches begin to crash into one another (literally!), you’ll realize that at the end of the day, it’s not about who was right – it’s about who grabbed the mic first.

Carmen Carigan and Jake Huff are New York-based comedians who began writing together on a sketch comedy team at Indiana University. Carigan works for Comedy Central and at Lauren Mandel’s “Disco Nap” production company.. She also has a stand-up residency at the Greenwich Village Comedy Club.

Jake Huff has worked on Desus & Mero (SHOWTIME) and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee (TBS). His previous sketch shows, co-written with his group Coward Scouts, were featured at iO Chicago and Chicago SketchFest.

Director Maggie Scudder is currently the Editor, Content Lead, and Sketch Instructor at GOLD Comedy, the online comedy destination for women and nonbinary folks. She has an award-winning pilot in development with Ryan Cunningham (Search Party, Broad City).

Carmen and Jake reunited in 2021 to write the two-person show that became PRESSED. Their sold-out debut at Brooklyn Comedy Collective brought the show to NYC SketchFest in 2023, DC SketchFest and Chicago’s iO Theater in 2024.
