Intersection for the Arts

Join us, via Zoom, to learn the basics of how to write a Press Release to promote your arts event.

What goes into a press release? Can you write and send your own? How are they used for different things? These topics will be tackled at Pete&#x27;s fun, interactive, idea-generating, 90-minute press release Zoom workshop which aims to empower you to do your own press. We&#x27;ll discuss the basics, and together we&#x27;ll investigate creating creative press releases, generating press-worthy ideas, and figuring out who your audience is. We&#x27;ll discover and discuss effective ways to get the word out about your show, music, product, event, etc. Plus, you&#x27;ll receive access to press release templates and press release/story pitch samples.ABOUT THE PRESENTER<a href="http://www.petermmarino.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Peter Michael Marino</a> is a New York City native who has worked extensively as a producer, director, developer, writer, teacher, and performer. Pete is a member of The Dramatists Guild, AEA, SAG-AFTRA, The Indie Theater Fund, and a graduate of the Commercial Theater Institute. His production company PM2 Entertainment has presented festivals and original comedy works everywhere from NYC to Australia, Canada, and the UK.This workshop is co-hosted by <a href="http://www.theintersection.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Intersection for the Arts</a> and <a href="https://intermusicsf.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">InterMusicSF</a>.Questions about this workshop?
