Preserving Summer with Chef Amy Brandwein and Domenica Marchetti

Chef Amy Brandwein and cookbook author Domenica Marchetti lead guests through a class on making the most of late-summer produce through various preserving methods, all with an Italian twist. The evening includes cooking demonstrations on preserving beans, homemade jam, quick pickling, syrups and more, complete with Q&A, tastes, recipes and samples to take home. Guests will also leave with a signed copy of Domenica's latest cookbook "Preserving Italy: Canning, Curing, Infusing, and Bottling Italian Flavors and Traditions." Recipes from the class will be featured Chef Amy's dinner menu at Centrolina that night for a closer look at using preservation techniques and flavors in Italian cooking.
