Ideas for Healthy Living offers a range of programming to improve health and food access in Skagit County.  Instructor Jennie Bryan-Goforth is trained as a Food Safety and Preservation Specialist through WSU, is a former Master Gardener, and in her non-WSU life has been an organic farmer for nearly 20 years.

Preserve Skagit Fall 2022

<p>Learn to safely preserve tomatoes and tomato products such as salsa, ketchup, bbq sauce, and more.  This workshop will provide instruction on using the water bath canning method, safe recipes for tomato products, and methods to help make the preservation process more efficient for these types of products. The workshop will also provide some additional information for freezing and drying tomato products.  Take advantage of the late summer bounty by preserving your tomato harvest! </p>
