Preservation Nation: Fruit Processing Work & Learn!
By One Straw Society
Multiple dates
Overview
Lend a hand processing and preserving the summer's bounty of fruit. No experience necessary, learn new skills (or hone your own!)
We have had so much fruit donated to us over the summer, but little time to do anything more than juice it or freeze it whole. With the days slowing down it feels like the perfect time to get busy in the kitchen processing and preserving!
If you are able to come in and lend a hand on one (or more!) days, please sign up here and let us know when you can join us. You'll spend a relaxed morning prepping and processing fruit, learning new skills (or sharing & honing your own!) and will go home with a jar of whatever we preserve (jams, jellies, syrups)... No experience necessary - we would love to see you there!
