Prequel (Throwback) Freeride Event at Hoodoo Ski Area

Hoodoo Ski Area

SnoPlanks, an industry-leading craft snowboard and ski manufacturer based in Bend Oregon, will be hosting their Fifth Annual “Prequel” freeride event April 8th at Hoodoo! The event and the name, “Prequel”, is a nod to the early years of freestyle snowboarding/skiing and a look at the backstory of today’s freestyle and freeriding competitions. The course will be a hand-dug features that encourages riders and skiers to take the most creative lines and walk away with amazing prizes! “We are fortunate to be making snowboards and skis in Bend, Oregon and we wanted to do something for the local snow sliding community”, said James Nicol, co-founder of SnoPlanks, “We are going back to the roots of freestyle riding when features were built by hand by the riders. The throwback spring vibes always make for an incredible day on snow!” The event will include divisions for Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Masters Open, and Grom Open (15 years old and under ). THE “RETRO” ENTRY FEE FOR THE PREQUEL IS ONLY $25.00. All proceeds for entry fees will be donated to Oregon Adaptive Sports to help them continue their incredible work on snow.
